Born from a lifelong love of the water, Van Loon Cruises has its roots in family owned inland shipping dating back to 1987. After breakfast we make our way to Basel where we join our spectacular Cruise boat The Nobleman just in time to relax and unwind with a welcome cocktail reception before dinner.

Day 4
Black Forest Coach Guided Tour (full-day) Travel by coach from the Rhine into the Black Forest, where in hillside villages the 17th-century art of cuckoo clockmaking still thrives, each clock hand-carved and proudly certified. Enjoy a scenic mountain drive through pine-covered valleys, past waterfalls and home to the region's sweetest legend, the Black Forest Cake or enjoy time walking around Breisach.

Mannheim - The "City of Inventions" where innovation and history intertwine. The birthplace of the bicycle, the automobile, and the tractor, this city has shaped modern mobility. Its distinctive grid-style layout, earning it the nickname "City of Squares," sets it apart from any other German city. Mannheim Palace is a grand reminder of the city's royal past, the second-largest Baroque palace in Europe rivalled only by Versailles. (Half day tour)

Mainz, the "Great Wine Capital" of Germany, sits at the centre of the Rheinhessen - the country's largest wine-growing region. Renowned for its centuries-old winemaking tradition, explore one of the Vineyards that surround this city also the home to the Kupferberg cellars, the deepest sparkling wine cellars in the world. Speyer Old Town Walking Tour (Half Day) One of Germany's oldest towns, Speyer is crowned by its majestic cathedral, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and the largest Romanesque church in the world. The town also holds a remarkable treasure of the world's oldest unopened bottle of wine, preserved since the days of the Roman Empire.

Strasbourg - Set on the border of France and Germany, Strasbourg reveals a maze of half-timbered houses and flower-lined canals winding through La Petite France, a storybook quarter once home to tanners and fishermen. Its city centre holds a special distinction as the first entire city in France to be named a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Depart the cruise in Basel after breakfast. We sadly make our way to our final overnight stay hotel.
