Enjoy the peaceful surroundings of private wooded grounds overlooking the River Tay at the Invercarse Hotel, just three miles from Dundee city centre.

Break the ice with an introductory session of lawn bowling at St. Andrews Bowling Club, or explore the charming seaside town on a guided walking tour, followed by a light lunch at the club’s newly renovated clubhouse.

Step into the past with a visit to the historic village of Glamis, where a tasting at The Bothy Experience introduces you to local flavours before a guided tour of the magnificent Glamis Castle.

Finally, indulge in the rich flavours of multi-award-winning gourmet chocolate with a tasting at Iain Burnett Highland Chocolatier.

Please Note: This break has 6 nights accommodation, consisting of 4 nights at the Invercarse Hotel and 2 nights to cover overnight hotels on the out and return journeys.

Travel to our overnight hotel taking in the breathtaking scenery of the English countryside on our way. Arrive in time for dinner.

Day 2

After breakfast we carry onward to our Hotel in Dundee.

Visit a magial chocalate shopin the small Highland village of Perthshire and enjoy a guided tasting flight of Master Chocolatier Iain Burnett's multi award winning Velvet Truffle, the result of three years of refinement and 120 variations. Crafted from rare cocoa from the volcanic island of São Tomé and the finest local ingrediants, these luxurious chocolates offer unique flavours and textures to delight any palate. Gain insight into Iain Burnett's journey to mastery as he honed his craft under the finest French, Belgian and Swiss chocolatiers to develop his signature style.
PLEASE NOTE: The tasting will take place on board the coach, followed by an opportunity for guests to visit the choclate shop.

GLAMIS CASTLE - Day 3, 4 or 5 to be confirmed nearer the time.
Childhood home of HRH Queen Elizabeth, The Queen Mother. This 650 year old fortress is renowned for its distinct architecture and imposing majesty. The incredible family home has witnessed everything from Royal births to being the setting for Shekespeare's Macbeth. Chart it's evolution during a guided tour of ten distinctly regal rooms before stepping into the illustrious grounds, incorporating everything from parkland to the formal Italian Garden.

ST ANDREWS LAWN BOWLING - Day 3, 4 or 5 to be confirmed nearer the time.
Discover a new favourite pastime and join the welcoming community of over a quarter of a million bowlers. Once banned by King Henry VIII, who believed it distracted tradesmen from their work, lawn bowling now thrives as a sport steeped in tradition and Camaraderie. Enjoy the health benefits of this timeless game as an expert coach at St. Andrews Bowls Club hones your skills on their beautiful green lawn, preparing you for your first friendly (or competative) match. Then enjoy a light lunch in a newly renovated clubhouse. Those who do not wish to bowl can enjoy a walking tour of St. Andrews - the seaside home of Scotland's first university, where medieval streets are lined with gorgeous traditional buildings - before meeting back at the club for lunch.

GIN BOTHY EXPERIENCE - Day 3, 4 or 5 to be confirmed nearer the time.
Nestled on the doorstep of Glamis Castle, the award winning Gin Bothy shares the captivating tale of Scottish Bothies. With a natural respect for the mountains, rivers and farmlands surrounding them, every bottle of their fruit infused gin is poured by hand, using only locally sourced produce including fresh Scottish berries and rhubarb. We invite you to take a journey through the hills, savouring a spirit that blends past and present in a cosy and rustic tasting room.

After breakfast we depart our Hotel in Dundee for our overnight hotel on our way home.
