Day 1
We travel to the Knights Hill Hotel & Spa in Kings Lynn.
DExperience 1
NORTH NORFOLK RAILWAY: Day to be confirmed nearer the time.
Unlike most other railways of the time, the Poppy Line was built to serve the eager tourist market, travelling via popular holiday spots, rather than to srve the community. This means today we are treated to the smart, Victorian seaside resort of Sheringham, the Georgian market town of Holt, and the pretty village and shingle beaches at Weybourne. Along the way are unrivalled views of this area of outstanding natural beauty.
Experience 2
BEANS BOATS SEAL TRIP: Day to be confirmed nearer the time.
With 50 years of experience, a trip to the Blakeney Seals with Beans Boats offers a rare opprtunity to get 'up close and personal' to the resident Grey Seal and Common Seal colonies without causing a disturbance.
PLEASE NOTE: The boat used is open top.
Experience 3
WHATAHOOT DISTILLERY: Day to be confirmed nearer the time.
Ever wondered how craft spirits are made? Using locally sourced ingrediants, the WhataHoot Distillery is one of the only gin companies in Norfolk who distil their own produce, making them award-winners in both innovation and more importantly, gin. Indulge in an insightful tour and tasting in a recently transformed 17th century warehouse, the rustic home of WhataHoot. Savour authentic samples and revel in signature fruits and spices, as you experience a master class in gin.
Experience 4
HOUGHTON HALL & WALLED GARDEN: Day to be confirmed nearer the time.
One of the finest Palladian Houses in this country. Built in the 1720's for Sir Robert Walpole, Britain's First Prime Minister. The Hall is currently the home of the 7th Marquess of Cholmondeley, Walpole's descendent, and his family. Situated in traditional parkland, Houghton is home to a spectacular herd of white fallow and other exotic deer. The award-winning 5-acre Walled Garden includes a spectacular double-sided herbaceous border, a formal rose parterre, a Mediterranean garden, and a kitchen garden with arches and espaliers of apples and pears.
PLEASE NOTE: Due to steps, uneven paths and cobbled areas, this attraction is not recommended for wheelchairs users.
Day 5
We return home after breakfast.
