The picturesque Isle of Man sits in the Irish Sea between the coastlines of England, Wales and Ireland and is rich in culture and natural scenery.

Our tour explores the island’s natural beauty and fascinating history with visits to scenic towns and villages, beautiful houses and fascinating local museums. A visit to ‘Lady Isabella’, the world’s largest working waterwheel, unforgettable rides on the Steam Railway, the unique Snaefell mountain railway and the Isle of Man Electric Railway complete this exciting itinerary.

Please Note: This break has 5 nights accommodation, consisting of 4 nights at the Empress Hotel in Douglas and 1 night at the Mercure Dunkenhalgh, Clayton-le-Moors for our overnight stay on the first night.

The Empress Hotel, Douglas. Isle of Man (Main Hotel)

The Empress is in a beautiful setting, overlooking the open seaside. Most bedrooms and public areas can be accessed via the main lift although some rooms are accessed via a few steps in the corridors or bedrooms as well. The hotel has one restaurant, one main bar and lounge, a breakfast room.

Leisurely journey to our overnight hotel the Mercure Dunkenhalgh Blackburn

Today after breakfast we make our way to Heysham for our mid-afternoon crossing to the Isle of Man arriving into the Empress Hotel in time for dinner

Admission to Cregneash Folk Museum and a steam railway journey from Port Erin to Douglas

Admisiion to House of Manannan in Peel

Day 5

After breakfast we have an action packed day ahead of us where we wil take a journey on the Manx Electric Railway (Douglas to Laxey) combined with a return journey on the Snaefell Mountain Railway. We will travel from Laxey to the summit of Snaefell and back to Laxey where, we will take a look around the Laxey Wheel which is the worlds largest waterwheel. Finally we will finish our day off with admission to the Isle of Man Motor Museum..
