Day 1
We make our way to Portsmouth or Lymington, for the short journey to the Isle of Wight.
DDay 2
Today head to Carisbrooke Castle, sitting high and proud at the heart of the Isle of Wight. It is the quintessential romantic castle with far reaching panoramic views from high castle walls. After departing, stop at the Isle of Wight Donkey Sanctuary. With over 100 donkeys to say hello to, they offer any donkey in need a loving and forever home.
B, DDay 3
Set sail this morning for a cruise around the ports of Cowes and Portsmouth. Enjoy fantastic views of the island coastline, Osborne House and Norris Castle, in addition to sea forts and the Naval Base at Portsmouth. Once back on dry ground, visit Brightstone and Isle of Wight Pearl, with its spectacular cliff-top views over the English Channel. Finally, onto charming Godshill to wander at leisure, taking a look at the thatched cottages and model village (admission not included).
B, DDay 4
Begin the day at Osborne House, Queen Victoria's island retreat. Highlights include the lavishly furnished State Rooms and glorious grounds and gardens. Later, travel to the award winning Isle of Wight Steam Railway. Experience the golden age of travel as you settle back in beautifully restored carriages, a bygone era when steam power was the order of the day.
B, DDay 5
After breakfast we take our crossing back to the mainland for our homeward journey.
