Day 2
After breakfast we make our way to the Royal Mews, home to the historic royal carriages and coaches, the most dazzling of all being the Gold State Coach, which has been used at every coronation since George IV in 1821. Our next stop is Buckingham Palace where we have the afternoon to explore the magnificent 19 State Rooms used for ceremonial occasions and official entertaining. If we’re lucky, we may see the changing of the guards!
BDay 3
Today we explore Kensington Palace. There is something quite special about this beautiful palace. Queen Victoria was born and spent her childhood here and in recent years it has been home to many royals including Princess Margaret, Princess Diana and the Prince and Princess of Wales. Explore the magnificent State Rooms, view the special exhibitions and take a stroll around the famous sunken garden. We finish by having afternoon tea in The Orangery before we begin our journey home. In 2026, Kensington Palace will host a new exhibition, marking the 150th birthday of Indian princess and former suffragette, Sophia Duleep Singh. The exhibition will examine the women of the Duleep Singh family, who were goddaughters of former Palace resident Queen Victoria.
We make our way home.
